WHAT TO BRING

  • Bring a lunch (I do not yet know if lunch will be available for purchase at the college).  Play it safe and bring a lunch.
  • Bring money for the rest stops.
  • The competition coordinator asked that we not have all of the students try to change into their competition clothes when they arrive to campus. As such, students need to wear their dress clothes on the bus.  I  highly recommend that students wear a jacket or hoodie over their dress clothes to ensure that they don't spill drinks or food on their competition clothes on the drive up to Lakeland.  The dress clothes should be color coordinated by unit (the kids picked their unit colors). Please make sure your child has the correct color.
  • PLEASE MAKE SURE STUDENTS BRING DRESS SHOES TO GO WITH THEIR DRESS CLOTHES! (NO SNEAKERS, PLEASE).
  • Students may want to pack a change of clothes for after the competition.  That will make the bus ride home a lot more comfortable.
  • Students should pack their, "We the People," opening statements and a copy of the ongoing list of questions they've been keeping.  It will be their job to study those questions on the ride up to the competition.
  • Students can bring a backpack to hold the above-mentioned items.

MORE DETAILS WILL BE POSTED AS I  RECEIVE THEM.  CHECK BACK OFTEN.
